My Experience with Paleo Diet

As soon as I was able to lose weight with the Ketogenic Diet, I decided to try the Paleo Diet, which is similar but allows the consumption of good carbohydrates, such as Fruits of the time, Roots such as Beets and Cassava, among others.

It, however, excludes industrialized foods that were permitted in Ketogenic, such as Cheeses, Sweeteners, and Sausages.
In my case, I do not follow the strictest line, and I eventually allow myself to use a sweetener (just stevia or sucralose) or eat a slice of cheese (I got the milk from my diet but the cheese has not yet).

How the Paleo Diet Works

The Paleo Diet, which for many is not a diet but a lifestyle and food, is to feel like our ancestors of the Paleolithic era (hence the name of the diet), that is, real food, which is not packaged, not it's ready, you prepare, your temper, then you eat.

The allowable foods are those we can find in nature such as Meats, Fruits, Chestnuts, and Vegetables.

There are several aspects of the Paleo Diet, and as I said, I follow a less restricted line, but there are people who are so rigid as to eat only game meats, for example. What for me (and I believe for most people too) would be totally unfeasible, after all, where I live barely enough to find the hickory chicken.

The amount of each food that you will eat depends on your goal, if you want to lose weight, eat a little carbohydrate, caprice in the fat and moderate in the proteins, if you want to increase weight, or practice very heavy exercises, increase the carbohydrates, they will give you an energy extra, but always respecting what your body asks for.
Like most Low Carb diets, Paleo does not stipulate times or quantities to eat, eat as long as you are hungry, only when you are hungry.

Body Changes:

Even practicing only about 15 minutes of exercise a day at home and running about three times a week, I realize that my body has gained a lot more definition, which I have never even done doing bodybuilding.
I had already studied that most of the results on the body usually come from the diet, but I did not imagine it would have such good results.
But there are people who can not adapt, feel bad, the body does not respond very well, so it is important to test because each body can react in a way.
Remember though that the adjustment may take a little time so do not forget to take the time to see if your body does not really do well with this type of diet or if it is only in the process of adaptation.
Symptoms like headaches and weakness can take up to 15 days to go away and finally you notice the improvement of body and mind ... It is worth waiting for it is a relatively short period to get such good results!

Changes in the mind:

It was not only outwardly that I felt changes, my mind works much better now, maybe the true fuel of the brain, (the fat) has come into action!

After all the Brain is largely formed by fat - about 60%. It is amazing that I also have no more laziness after meals. I had seen several reports that said this, but I thought it was a lie, how does someone eat lunch and not sleepy afterward? Yeah, now I'm just trying on that, and it's wonderful ...
I have not had any headaches either, not that I will never have it again, but my headaches were frequent and now I do not have any more, so I think it is working very well for me.

Paleo Diet Forever?

I really feel very good about this diet, but I'm not going to get paranoid with food, sometimes a slip is very welcome, nothing to be eating crap every day, but once every fortnight, I find a good break for miss some fat.

Apart from things that are generally prohibited in other diets, such as a barbecue that usually has many more fatty meats are allowed in the Paleo Diet, then it is much easier to keep it also on weekends and family meals.

Another important thing is that it's not just about "following a diet" but about getting good habits, regardless of whether you call it a diet or not, eating real food is always better for your body because it will work properly.
Anyway, the most important thing is to have a good food to live every day with disposition and joy!

Did you already know the Paleo Diet? Have you ever tried it?
