DIET

What is a Diet?

A diet is a food plan that guides us in pursuit of health and fitness. To assemble this food plan we must associate our daily needs of nutrients with our energy expenditure, seeking a balance between food intake and daily activities.

There is no universal diet, that is, the diet good for you may not suit your mother, your sister, your cousin, and vice versa. The diet must be personal, taking into account the constitution of the person, its goals and limits, time available to exercise, diseases (both predisposition to some as an existing), the relationship of the person to the environment, if you are allergic, if your body does not tolerate certain food groups and various other things. Each person needs a diet that fits their way of life and body, which does not mean that there are not a lot of common habits that lead to a good eating plan and consequently a healthy life.

Types of Diets

We are in the habit of associating diet with weight loss. But diets are not just for weight loss.

There are several types of diets for each goal, if the person wants to lose weight she will make a low-calorie diet appropriate to their daily life, if the desire is to gain muscle mass, the diet will be rich in protein and carbohydrate plus a lot of physical exercise, to control the cholesterol the food plan will decrease the intake of fats, if the desire is to prevent diabetes goodbye to the excesses of carbohydrates and sugars, improve the functioning of the body by increasing the consumption of raw food, stop the bad mood is to stop red meat, and so on…

Only after a medical evaluation, examinations and an interpretation of the person's daily life that can be set up the ideal diet.

Fashion Diets

In the search for the ideal body, many people end up joining miracle diets, which promise quick and easy results. It is very easy to find these diets on websites, books, and magazines. But it is very dangerous to start a diet without medical guidance or knowledge about your body. Following the reckless fad diets can create a cycle of gain and endless weight loss, bringing other problems to the body, such as stretch marks, for example.
Another problem common to people on drastic diets is the sadness generated by the deprivation of food that they love. A well-prepared food plan rarely cuts off any type of food. Of course, some should be avoided, such as soft drinks and fried foods, for example. But not even these so-called "villains" are totally banned. It is necessary to respect its limits, thus avoiding even a depression.

The Sweethearts of Diets

As I said earlier, each body needs a different diet. But there are some foods that can be considered the "darlings" of diets. These can be included in any diet and should be consumed daily. As an example, we have water, fruits, and vegetables.
Remember that a good diet should always be accompanied by regular physical exercises, whether to lose weight, to gain mass, or to treat some disease.
